Motorists are being advised to avoid the clockwise carriageway of the M25 motorway close to junction 10 at Wisley, following a lorry crash this afternoon.
Emergency services were called to after a lorry collided with the barrier of the hard shoulder at just after 1.30pm.
The motorway was closed in both directions between junction nine at Leatherhead and junction 10 for a short time while the air ambulance attended the scene.
The lorry driver has been taken to St George's Hospital in Tooting.
Two lanes of the clockwise carriageway have now been reopened but motorists are advised to avoid the area and seek alternative routes wherever possible.
The anti-clockwise carriageway is also now fully reopened.
Officers are appealing for anyone who may have saw the collision to come forward.
Witnesses can call Surrey Police on the non-emergency number 101.
