Does Shas Sheehan see no irony in her tirade against Merton Council?
While the Lib Dems bemoan budget cuts at a local level, their cohorts are busy propping up a Tory administration in Westminster, allowing the most draconian and divisive cuts we have witnessed since Margaret Thatcher was Prime Minister.
Yet again, while in opposition, the Lib Dems paint themselves as champions of the people, but in power they quickly renege on all their promises (ref student loans, NHS etc), and swing whichever way is politically expedient.
We would all do well to remember this at the ballot box when the time comes - by voting Lib Dem, who knows which of their many faces we will end up with.
