A man is seeking 25 people to climb Mount Kilimanjaro with him in aid of St Raphael’s Hospice.

Cheam entrepreneur, Roger Davies, 63, is looking for people to complete the challenge with him in September to raise money for St Raphael's Give Your Quid campaign.

He said: "This is the chance of a lifetime. You don't have to be super fit. I will give tips and advice for everyone.

“The euphoria isn't reaching the summit, but the journey getting there.

“It's six days up the mountain and one day down. There are five terrains - tropical rainforests, shrub land, grassland, rocks and ice and snow.

“Come and join me and raise much needed funds to help St Raphael's Hospice."

This will be the second time Mr Davies will climb Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania.

In February this year, Mr Davies had a total knee replacement and said he is looking forward to climbing the mountain with his new knee.

The adventurer even completed a North Pole trek in 2009, a year after having a heart attack.

If you are interested in joining Mr Davies on the expedition you must be 18 or over and in reasonable health.

The trip costs £2,300 which will cover all travel costs and St Raphael's Hospice is asking people to raise a minimum of £500 in sponsorship.
