The boss behind a scheme to transform part of West Croydon has spoken of his belief in the borough.

Berkeley Homes have unveiled the latest images of their proposed Saffron Square development, which includes a 45 storey tower and new public town square.

Speaking at this year’s MIPIM, Piers Clanford, managing director of Berkeley Homes said: “The continuing regeneration in Croydon will alter the nature of the borough itself and raise its profile throughout the South East.

“It is highly accessible for Londoners and those in the region and will help to encourage the community, stimulate the local economy and attract further investment.

“Croydon is not only a place to do business, it is a Borough that is embracing its location and attracting people and businesses who enjoy quick access to central London, but want to base themselves somewhere that offers fantastic leisure and lifestyle opportunities and competitive property values.”
