A man was taken to hospital after he was assaulted in his kitchen, allegedly by two women.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the serious assault on the 40-year-old man in Hurricane Road, Wallington, at 2am on March 15.

The victim, who knew his assailants, was taken by ambulance to hospital for treatment before discharging himself later that morning.

Two women, both aged 45, who were in the property at the time, were both arrested and have been bailed to return to Sutton police station in April.

A spokesman for Sutton Police station the victim was coming and going into the property between 4pm on Wednesday March 14 to around 2am on Thursday March 15.

"It could well be that there may have been witnesses in the road at the time who may have overheard a conversation or seen people entering and leaving the property during these times - if you did, then we want to hear from you," he said.
