Four fire engines were called to a blaze in Balham yesterday afternoon.
The fire broke out in a flat above a row of shops in Bedford Hill just after midday on Sunday (March 18).
Firefighters managed to extinguish the blaze within an hour.
London Ambulance Service confirmed they treated a man and a woman for smoke inhalation at the scene.
There was minimal damage to the flat and no one else was seriously hurt.
