Legendary Welsh crooner Sir Tom Jones will be burning down the house at Sandown Park racecourse when he performs this summer.

The sex bomb has enjoyed an extraordinary career spanning four decades and is set to return to the Esher venue for a second time, to perform after an evening’s racing.

He will entertain the crowd with some of his classic hits, such as What’s New Pussycat and Delilah, as well as new favourites.

Sir Tom said: “I had such a great time at Sandown Park last year and was delighted to be asked to return. I look forward to seeing you all in July.”

The Welsh warbler had sold more than 100m records and is due to add another string to his bow by appearing as a coach on the BBC’s new flagship show, the Voice, this spring.

His sell out Sandown Park concert last year had women screaming and his hip-shaking 90-minute set took the sound up a few decibels, with houses a three-mile drive away able to hear the singer and his adoring crowd.
