A motorcyclist was seriously injured in a crash with a car in the early hours of this morning.
Police sealed off the A236 Mitcham Road both ways, between A213 Sumner Road and Grafton Road in West Croydon following the crash, at 1am this morning.
The biker was taken to hospital with serious injuries but his condition is described as stable.
A spokesman for London Ambulance said: “One man believed to be about 40 years old had suffered multiple injuries. He was conscious, treated and stabilised at the scene before being taken to St George’s Hospital.
“It is also understood there are two other patients with minor injuries, who were taken to Croydon University Hospital.”
The road reopened at 7am.
