Sutton Central Library celebrates World Book Night
7:50am Tuesday 24th April 2012 in News By Sophia Sleigh, Reporter
Sutton Central Library celebrated World Book Night with a late night opening and free events.
In the evening of Saturday, April 21, local historian John Philips gave a talk on the history of John Lord Lumley, the owner of Nonsuch Palace.
Visitors also took part in a book quiz and the library held its first ever fine amnesty where fines were waived on late items brought back on the day.
Children and teenagers got the chance to take part in a live art exhibition with the library’s resident graffiti artist.
There was an appearance from the Cat in the Hat, an introduction to the Pokemon card trading game and a Wii tournament.
