Man dies after being found unconscious in car
A man died after being found unconscious in his car on Saturday morning.
Police desperately tried to save the man, in his early 50s, after he was found unconscious inside a vehicle in Alcorn Close, near the junction of the A217 and Sutton Common Road, Sutton.
Officers forced entry to the car, removed the man, and carried out emergency life-saving procedures.
London Ambulance Service were also called, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police were contacted at 2.55am on Saturday by a caller concerned about the man's welfare.
He had left his house in the car two hours earlier.
He was found by police in the car at 4.49am.
Police are treating the death as non-suspicious.
The South London Coroner has been informed, along with the man's next of kin.
