Beddington Park music festival to mark Queen's Jubilee
12:10pm Monday 30th April 2012 in News By James Pepper
The Queen and The Rolling Stones will feature heavily at this year's Music in the Park.
Throngs of festival goers will be treated to a plethora of musical treats at the Beddington Park event on June 16, including a special Diamond Jubilee performance by the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra.
Backed by the Sutton Guardian and now in its 21st year, the event will see the world famous orchestra also celebrate the arrival of the Olympic games and commemorate the loss of the Titanic 100 years ago.
The Orchestra will be conducted by the ever popular Brian Wright with Tenor David Butt Philip also performing.
Music in the Park, held in the grounds of Carew Manor by the Rotary Club of Carshalton Beeches, has helped raise £300,000 for charity.
This year the principle beneficiaries will be Jigsaw4u, Sutton Young Carers and the Wave Trust, all of whom are local charities dedicated to various aspects of child hardship.
The 21st Century Stones, a well renowned Rolling Stones tribute act, will kick the evening off to celebrate 50 years of the legendary British band.
And a firework display will end the evening.
All tickets, standard, gold and silver are available now with discounted standard tickets for early purchase.
Tickets are priced at £18.50 before June, £22.50 during June and £25.00 on the day and will be available from local libraries and shops, on line at www.carshaltonbeechesrotary.org.uk or by phoning the credit card ticket hotline 0844 870 0803 (5p per min).
