Motorbike crash in Beddington

A motorcyclist has apparently escaped unscathed after falling off his bike in Beddington.

Police received a call at 9.04am this morning to reports of a collision at the junction of Croydon Road and Plough Lane.

A police spokesman said a man had fallen off his bike but did not appear to have been injured.

It is understood the incident did not involve another vehicle.

Police are at the scene directing traffic and some traffic delays have been reported in the area.

London Ambulance Service have been called to the scene, but the motorcyclist is not expected to need hospital treatment.
