Missing man found

A 60-year-old man, described as high-risk, has gone missing overnight.

Police are growing increasingly concerned for Peter Carter, who may be in Sutton of Croydon after going missing from an address in South Park Hill Road, Croydon, over Monday night.

He was last seen asleep in bed at 9pm on Monday and was discovered missing at 9am on Tuesday.

Police have searched the area around the Croydon address and his home in Woodcote Road, Wallington.

They have also been checking parks and open spaces supported with a police helicopter and have made checks of local hospitals without success.

Mr Carter may be wearing the clothes he was last seen in - grey trousers, green jumper and blue slippers and is described as being of thin build.

Detective Inspector Sarah Rees, of Sutton CID, said Mr Carter is not in possession of a mobile phone and doesn’t have an Oyster Card or any cash in his possession.

She said: “He suffers from dementia and is unable to communicate - and we are extremely concerned about his welfare and safety.”

If anyone sees anyone of this description please contact Sutton Police station on 999 immediately.
