Future of £219m promised to St Helier Hospital still in doubt

The cash is still in doubt
The future of the £219million promised to St Helier Hospital’s redevelopment still hangs in the balance.
Hospital bosses and Sutton Council expected an announcement about the funding following a NHS London finance meeting held on Monday.
However the next tranche of funding for the redevelopment was not included in the agenda of the Capital Investment Meeting of NHS London as expected.
A spokesperson for NHS London said: "There is a firm commitment to redevelop the St Helier site, and no decision has been taken about funding."
