Patients who had booked appointments weeks in advance were turned away from a new surgery on Tuesday.

The Jubilee Health Centre in Wallington opened on Tuesday, May 22, however due to “operational issues” some patients were turned away.

One patient said he was turned away from his 8am appointment by a security guard because of the problem, despite other patient’s being seen earlier in the morning.

NHS South West London said alternative arrangements have been put in place and patients are now being seen and treated.

“operational issues”. Smokescreen jargon. Why are we not told what went wrong? It's our NHS and we pay for it so have every right to know what's happening. Was it a **** up or a conspiracy? Either way the faceless ones do not want us to know and treat us with contempt by using foggy language. Come on be straight in this "transparent" health service, tell us.
