Tributes pour in for Wallington dad Damon Weedon

Tributes have flooded a Facebook page set up in memory of Damon Weedon.

The popular 36-year-old died after being stabbed on the Roundshaw estate in Wallington, on Friday June 1.

Family and friends have left messages for the dad-of-three, in the group set up to "share memories and photos."

Debbie Knight who set up the page, wrote: "Damon was tragically taken from us on 1st June 2012, let us remember him the way he would want us to."

Messages on the page include one from Brian Whitear, who wrote: "Such a tragic loss, RIP Damon, sleep tight mate."

Sianna Belcher also paid tribute, writing: "Damon don't quite know what to say, hadn't seen you in a while but remember the good times. Hope you rest in peace."

Angela Marie wrote: "Damon I will always have you close to my heart, you have left a great legacy-three lovely boys. Good night and sleep well and don't you ever worry about anything anymore."

rip so sad, why are flowers being laid outside wilsons when he was found at the top of avro on redford ave, such a shame he was a nice friendly bloke x

Hi Kerry, he was found in Redford, and for some reason he was taken from the ambulance in mollison drive which is where he died, we wanted to lay flowers where he died x

We met Damon last year at an Elevate Skateboard event and took to this lovable rogue instantly! He was an absolute diamond with our boys. My elder son lent him his board at one of the Elevate Events there he was can of beer in one hand and he was still able to pull a rock an roll off!The last time we saw Damon was at Wandle Skate Park and he was desperate for a skate but had no deck so my younger son Niall
gave him his old deck. Niall went to bed crying last night but asked us to send him a message in heaven to say "keep skating dude" and he's gonna try and win you a new deck on Saturday!

when i hear that damon was dead i couldn't belive my eyes, my good mate text me on satursday 2nd that damon was dead i feel sad,damon was a good man he didn't need to die that way i know i didn't know damon that long but i know he was good at his tatoo's as damon was the one that talk me into it with my sister in law n my hubby also my mate tom n end up have to a heart for my hubby n comple of roses for my baby that i lost n i know he did a good job with the tatoo's it shame he didn't get a change to finshes one of them as me n damon didn't see eye to eye some time but he was a good friend i know that,at the end of the day we will miss you n always keep you in our throughs no matter what love u mate like a brother

R.I.P my old friend, ill always remember that night back in the day when we got so drunk and thought it would be funny to chuck all your socks out the window, In the morning we laughed so hard as the garden was covered in them!
You was always a great character and will be missed. x
