A Japanese cultural day was held on Saturday, June 23, to raise money for charity.
The free event held in SCOLA main hall, Sutton, included Japanese calligraphy, kimono wearing, origami and Japanese refreshments.
One of the organisers, Sachiko Biscomb, said: “The event went very well and we are all very pleased to see people were smiling to experience Japanese culture.
“Also raise awareness for the disaster that happened in Japan in March 2011.”
