Sutton physiotherapy department moves
12:30pm Thursday 5th July 2012 in News By Sophia Sleigh, Reporter
The physiotherapy department has left Sutton Hospital
Sutton physiotherapy services have left Sutton Hospital for the Jubilee Health Centre in Wallington.
It is all part of the Better Healthcare Closer to Home programme that will reshape health services in Sutton and Merton.
The aim of the new centre is to provide 21st-century healthcare designed around the needs of local people.
The Jubilee Health Centre is the first of four new Local Care Centres planned for Sutton and Merton.
A spokesperson for NHS Sutton and Merton said: “The move is part of a community wide programme designed to improve healthcare in Sutton and Merton, this is not a closure or reduction of physiotherapy services and will not impact the level of care or quality of service to patients.”
