Join the thousands of people cheering the Olympic torch through the borough next week and help us cover this historic event.

Wandsworth is particularly fortunate in having the torch pass through its streets twice, on Monday and on Thursday.

Then on Friday it will pass the borough again for a final time as it is carried down the Thames by boat en route to the Olympic stadium and the start of the Games.

On Monday the torch will end up at Tooting Bec Common for a celebration reserved for borough residents which will feature a line-up of performers includes Rizzle Kicks, Wanted Down Under and Twist and Pulse.

British Olympians will also be present during the event.

During the celebrations the torch will arrive on stage and a cauldron will be lit, at about 6.50pm.

The torch relay party will be split into two sections, with a  group of vehicles carrying official sponsors arriving first, followed 15 minutes later by the torch itself.

From the moment it enters the borough, Wandsworth Guardian reporters and photographers will be travelling with the torch to bring you the best possible coverage live on our dedicated Olympic website wandsworthguardian.co.uk/olympics.

But to capture this historic event properly we really need your help.

If you are a spectator, or a friend or relative of a torch bearer we want you to send us your pictures and thoughts live from the relay so we can include them in our live blog and in our in-paper coverage.
