Wellies and waterproofs were the order of the day as 4,000 turned up to celebrate the 109th annual Claygate flower and village show.
Summer showers were not enough to put off green-fingered flower enthusiasts on Saturday, July 14.
A barbecue, Kuk Sool martial arts performance, craft displays, classic cars and the much-loved dog show also helped make the day.
One of the high points of the day was the inaugural fancy dress parade, with costumes ranging from a Queen’s corgi to a jubilee street party complete with a barbecue hat.
At one point, the sky was filled with red, white and blue as 600 balloons took to the heavens for the great balloon race.
Children and adults alike were also entertained by a the fun fair, and showed their competitive side in a series of afternoon races.
Miriam Schafer: “It was a fantastic day - lots of families turned up and there was a real buzz in the air.
“Everyone braved the one heavy shower and then carried on enjoying all the show had to offer - British spirit at its best.”
