Joanna Rowsell and the mayor of Sutton will kick off St Raphael’s Hospice Midnight Memories walk.
The Olympic cycling gold medallist from Cheam will join councillor Sean Brennan in starting the sixth ladies only Midnight Memories five mile sponsored walk on Saturday, September 22.
It is the Hospice's largest sponsored fundraising event of the calendar, on which the Hospice relies for over £50,000 a year.
The walk begins at 11pm at the St Bede's Centre in the hospice grounds in London Road, Cheam. The route will be just under five miles and follows the local roads of North Cheam and Worcester Park - and ends up back at the hospice’s grounds.
The registration fee is £15 per person plus sponsorship. This walk is for women only and accompanied children under 16, for which there is no fee. For a registration form and details, contact the fundraising office on 020 8644 3857 email susannahforland@straphaels.org.uk, visit straphaels.org.uk.
