A man who has suffered with mental health problems is going to climb Ben Nevis.

Noel Walsh, from Sutton said: “I am a student with the Recovery College, I have suffered with mental health problems all of my adult life.

“Now with the confidence and strength I have gained through courses I feel I am able and want to give something back - so I am climbing Ben Nevis on September 30 in aid of the Queen Elizabeth Foundation for disabled people.”

The charity helps people with physical and learning disabilities or acquired brain injuries to gain new skills and independence.

Well done Noel and good luck. With all the kudos being sucked up by the paralympians many people would not appreciate how great is your achievement, how severe your struggle and how praiseworthy your achievement.
