A family raised over £1,000 for St Raphael’s Hospice by taking part in a sponsored dog walk.

21-year-old Alice Long, from Carshalton, walked with her pooch, Harvey, in memory of her grandfather, Patrick Fiveash, who died of cancer in July this year.

She said: “We raised £1,350 in all which was great. We had a stall with loads of cakes and drinks which all sold.

“The weather was bright and sunny and we had lots of happy and tired dogs by the end of it.”

Miss Long took part in the walk in Nonsuch Park on Sunday, August 26 with around 30 of her friends, family and her colleagues from Claybrooks Jewellers in Sutton.
