Murder police are examining new leads in the disappearance of missing Cheam schoolboy Lee Boxell nearly 25 years ago.

Lee disappeared on his way to a Crystal Palace football match on September 10, 1988, and has not been seen since.

Fresh evidence has lead police to investigate whether or not Lee was killed after he went missing.

On a scale never seen before in the Metropolitan Police, undercover officers have spent months examining St Dunstan's graveyard in Cheam looking for evidence.

It is understood Lee Boxell used to attend a youth club in the village, and police are looking into whether or not the youth club holds the key to their enquiry.

A team of over a dozen police officers have been going through rubble from the graveyard with a fine tooth comb looking for clues to Lee's disappearance.

Police have been in close contact with Lee's parents about developments in their search.
