International sportsman cleared of sexual assault after Clapham Christmas party

A fireman and international sportsman has been cleared of sexual assault.

Anthony Woodvine 27, was accused of touching a woman against her will at Inner London Crown Court last week.

A jury today found the defendant not guilty of the offence.

Mr Woodvine, an International Korfball player for England, was alleged to have sexually assaulted a woman at a Christmas party at Clapham Fire Station last year.

Mr Woodvine denied the allegations and was today (September 24)  cleared by a jury.
