Worcester Park to get £800,000 revamp
An £800,000 revamp of Worcester Park is due to begin in March next year.
The revamp includes ‘green havens’ along the high street.
A second round of public consultation from October 8 to 21 will give people a chance to offer their opinions on the proposals.
Designers have developed ideas by using suggestions offered in the first consultation in July, when 12,000 leaflets were distributed and a series of events invited people to have their say.
Councillor Kirsty Jerome, chairman of the project board for the Outer London Fund which is overseeing the scheme, said: "The first consultation was enormously valuable in really understanding what residents and businesses want to see in terms of improvement to the area.
"I hope that as many people as possible will come forward to offer their ideas again and ensure that this important scheme delivers a real boost to the community."
The new plans aim to encourage visitors to walk, cycle or use public transport and create more attractive spaces for the community to enjoy.
