Former army medic from Dorking Rory Mackenzie launches air travel service for disabled people in Sutton
A former army medic who starred in the Paralympic Games closing ceremony visited Sutton to launch an air travel service for disabled people.
Rory Mackenzie visited the Queen Elizabeth Foundation’s Mobility Centre in Carshalton on Tuesday, October 16.
He was joined by the mayor of Sutton, Sean Brennan, at the launch of the Try b4u Fly Assessment Service.
The service is free and allows disabled people to experience the requirements of air travel in a full size airline cabin section.
Mr Mackenzie from Dorking, lost his right leg in Basra City in 2007, rowed the Atlantic for charity and is now an inspiring motivational speaker.
