Pupils from a Mitcham primary school jumped into wheelchairs and raced through their playground as part of a disability awareness day.
Year 5 children from Bond Primary School organised a wheelchair race event on Thursday May 9 in their school playground.
One child sat in a wheelchair donated by a local Age UK charity shop while another helped navigate them around everyday obstacles.
Hussein Ahmed, 10, who helped organise the event, said: "It is imperative for our friends and others in the school to become more aware of wheelchair users in our community."
Teacher Miss Cook added: "I've been really pleased and impressed by how enthusiastic the children are about this cause."
