Children who have worked hard to raise money for charity were rewarded with a fun day Friday.
Downsend Junior School pupils have managed to raise nearly £2,500 for the Leatherhead school’s nominated charity Gift for Ghana this year.
For every pound children raised, they got credit to spend on activities at the fun day at the school in Leatherhead Road.

Stephanie Weller, a teacher at Downsend, said: "The children spent the afternoon on a range of activities such as a giant inflatable assault course, a space-hopper arena and testing their driving skills on the go-kart track.
"It was all topped off with an ice-cream in the sun and what better way to celebrate raising such an incredible amount of money for such a worthy cause."

Since September the children have been involved in many fundraising activities including a talent show, cake sales and ‘sell a brick’.
