Anyone interested in enrolling on a part-time adult education course should go along to a roadshow at the Whitgift Centre, Croydon, from 9.30am to 4.30pm on Thursday, July 11.
CALAT, Croydon council’s award-winning education provider, is staging the roadshow outside W H Smith, to give people the chance to find out more about its 800 part-time adult learning and training courses.
The range of courses includes, art, beauty, holistic therapies, counselling, British sign language, business skills, crafts, customer service, culinary arts, dance, DIY, childcare, English and maths (including GCSE), English as a foreign language, English for speakers of other languages, family learning,
floristry and flower arranging, gardening, health, fitness and exercise, health and social care, information communication technology, interpreting, jewellery making and silverwork, modern foreign languages, needlecraft, performing arts, photography, teaching and more.
Most learners aged 24 and over studying at level 3 or above and starting a course on or after August 1, 2013 will now qualify for a new 24+ Advanced Learning Loan from the UK government.
