Strikes will be in place at primary and secondary schools across Wandsworth tomorrow.
The teachers are campaigning against excessive workloads, bureaucracy, and performance related pay.
The action has been organised by the National Union of Teachers (NUT), whose members are also angry about proposed pension changes.
Figures from Wandsworth Council show seven primary schools plan to close.
So far no secondary schools or special schools are reported to be shut.
Up to 56 primary and secondary schools could experience partial closures.
As part of the action tomorrow there will be marches and demonstrations up and down the country.
