Teachers, pupils and parents joined the mayor or Elmbridge at a ceremony to celebrate the opening of a new school building.
The mayor, Councillor John Sheldon, cut the ribbon and planted a tree to pronounce the new building at Weston Green School open on Thursday, May 26.
Attendees were also entertained by performances from the school choir and violin and recorder players.
The building is 400 sq metres and will house the school's music, sport, dance and drama departments, as well as classrooms for kindergarten and reception pupils.
Headteacher Lucia Harvey said: "This impressive new building is a stunning addition to the school and further extends the opportunities for all.”
