A green fingered schoolgirl from Lambeth has triumphed in an annual gardening competition.
Ten-year-old Teagon Gregory-Weekes scooped the top prize in Lambeth Living’s Estates in Bloom contest, which saw 130 people compete to be crowned the borough’s best gardener.
Teagon, who also won young gardener of the year, said: "I was really surprised to have won, but I’m over the moon. "I love gardening, especially planting and seeing things grow, and I love learning about new plants."
Lambeth Living chief executive, Neil Litherland said: "The floral displays on estates have been amazing.
"The level of gardening expertise that tenants have displayed is second to none, and has made a huge contribution to brightening up the local environment."
