Primary school pupils celebrated Children’s Book Week by dressing up as their favourite characters this week.
Little Red Riding Hood, Harry Potter and Matilda were just some of the fantastic outfits on parade by both children and their teachers at Wallace Fields Infant School in Epsom on Friday, October 7.
During the week children took part in a range of literary activities enjoying two workshops hosted by Liz Martinez, author of The Everyday Witch, and Zehra Hicks, author of The Boy Who Hated Toothbrushes.
Headteacher, Nicky Mann, said: "It has been a fun-packed week which we know will encourage and inspire children to explore the world of books and read more."
Now in its 78th year, Children’s Book Week is an annual celebration encouraging more primary school children to read for pleasure.
