We live on the St Helier Estate, Why did we not know anything about this protest, we would have been there to show our support. Whoever calls these protests or marches please, please give the residents of the estate a chance to show their support, the more people you can get out there the better. Lets show the 'Better Service Better Value panel' we wont give up our A&E & maternity departments without a fight.

The brass neck of Brake and Burstow in campaigning to save departments is nothing short of breathtaking. Their own party has supported and made possible the cuts being instigated by the Coalition Government that has put the £219m pledged for redevelopment at risk and twisted the original plans to ensure better services for patients into threats to our A&E and maternity units. Burstow himself has denied that he can stop the closures, being "just a Minister." He is Andrew Lansley's Number 2 at the Dept of Health and he must be held accountable in this matter.
