Cup run cash-injection key to Bees boss

Brentford boss Uwe Rosler has revealed a good FA Cup run is key to his chances of freshening up his squad.
 

The Bees let a 2-1 advantage slip thanks to a Tony Craig own goal in the closing stages at Griffin Park on Saturday, as they were held 2-2 by Hartlepool United.
 

Striker Paul Hayes scored his first goals for the club, but a Harlee Dean own goal and Craig's slip twice cost the Bees the lead and three points.
 

Rosler takes his men to Blue Square South title challengers Boreham Wood on Saturday and admitted change might only come with the cash injection from a good cup run.
 

"We saw that Paul can score goals. Very pleased for him and his confidence," he said.
 

"Tony Craig, who had a good game, I don't blame at all. He is under so much pressure.
 

"What can I do about it? Hopefully winning at Boreham Wood to get as far in the FA Cup as we can to generate some money."
 

A late goal cost the Bees at Doncaster Rovers last weekend and Rosler is fast becoming frustrated with his side's ability to make the most of their chances.
 

"We didn't have the capability of killing off the game. I don't think we had so many clear cut chances, like we normally have," he added.
 

"But when we are leading 2-1 with just minutes to go, it must be enough to win the game.
 

"Hartlepool had their best period in the first half and it's disappointing that we're not managing to get over the line."
