Wimbledon missed the chance to close the gap on the top three in London League Division One South after a 23-14 defeat at Havant.

Coach Stuart Power called it a 'bad day at the office' but had to make do with a long list of absences after this should have been a match-free weekend - this game being rearranged after last weekend's wash-out.

After a good start, with Jack Stileman touching down a pushover try, Wimbledon failed to take the opportunities they created until well into the second half when prop Joey Nanai scored their second - both tries were converted by number 10 Neil Hallett.

By then though, too many penalties conceded, poor work at the breakdown and even poorer work at the lineout had given Havant their winning score.
