Epsom & Ewell striker Kyle Hough reached 100 goals for the club by bagging two goals in a 5-2 win over Ash United.

Following hot on the heels of team-mate Robbie Burns, who hit the milestone in October, Hough became the eighth players in the club's 94-year history to hit 100 goals.

Moreover, the result keeps the Salts in touch with the leading duo at the top of the Combined Counties League Premier Division.

Against Ash, there was little sign of what was to come at half-time as both teams struggled after missing so many games due to the weather.

However, Epsom possess goalscoring threats and not for the first time this season a quickfire series of goals took the game rapidly beyond Ash.

Hough started the scoring in the 51st minute with a neat finish and, five minutes later, scored his landmark 100th goal for the club with a cool finish from a tight angle.

Burns rifled the third home from the edge of the box, after which Ash were reduced to 10 men - it was one way thereafter with Dale Marvells and winger Ali Dewar getting their names on the scoresheet.

The only disappointment for Salts manager Lyndon Buckwell will be allowing the 10 men of Ash a couple of consolation goals in the last few minutes following a flurry of substitutions.

In a league where the top two are promoted, Salts are now 10 points behind league leaders Egham Town but a single point behind second placed Badshot Lea.

And it is to Badshot Lea that the Salts travel to this weekend, before hosting mid-table Wembley at Chipstead on January 15.
