Headache: Tony Craig has given his boss Uwe Rosler a selection headache SP70825
Brentford defender Tony Craig’s form at left back has given boss Uwe Rosler a selection headache.
The former Millwall centre back, who impressed on Saturday and in Tuesday’s win over Swindon Town, has switched to the wide role since the arrival of loan defender Liam Moore from Leicester City.
But with Jake Bidwell and Lee Hodson waiting in the wings and a limit of five places in his matchday squad for loan players, Rosler has admitted he has a juggling act ahead of him.
“I have a dilemma because Jake Bidwell looks refreshed in training and I’m trying to find the time to get him back,” he said.
“Tony is playing very well. Him and Stuart Dallas were our best players at Carlisle and on Tuesday he was mega solid. Liam Moore played very well too.
“But we have six loan players and have to put one in the stand. Lee Hodson is a more than competent player, but has missed out on a couple of games and that hurts me.
“Those are the rules and we have to deal with that.”
One player who will not feature against Preston is striker Paul Hayes, who has joined Crawley Town on loan.
While Harry Forrester, who is rumoured to be courting a move away from the club in the summer, continues to be sidelined through injury according to Rosler.
