Hampton & Richmond’s interim co-manager Paul Barry does not yet know if he and Darren Powell want the Beavers job full-time.

Since taking over from Mark Harper, who resigned two weeks ago, Barry and Powell have presided over one win, one defeat and one draw, culminating in Tuesday night’s 3-3 tie at home to Leiston in the Ryman Premier Division.

The pair are in the hot seat until the end of the season, but the future beyond then is less clear.

Barry said: “Come the end of the season, Darren and I will sit down with the chairman and have a discussion.

“I know the chairman has had a lot of interest in the position, which is not surprising given the prestige and history of the club.

“But there are issues that have plagued the club for the past couple of years, and I need to know they will be sorted out.”

Goals from James Simmonds, Gary Holloway and Ryan Moss earned the point off Leiston.
