Sutton United Paul Doswell has completed his wheeling and dealing in the transfer - depending on the future of Harry Beautyman.

Doswell, who brought in strikers Jamie Taylor and Jamie Slabber two weeks ago, has added the signings of Dale Binns and Mitchell Nelson from Eastleigh.

Having released Leroy Griffiths, Doswell says his squad is now ready for an assault on the Blue Square South title next season.

There could be one further change should midfielder Beautyman get the move to a League club he is looking for.

Doswell said: “Harry deserves a move to a higher level of football and we will not stand in his way, in fact we are actively encouraging clubs to take him on.

"We pushed him to Newport County, Aldershot, Wycombe Wanderers and Exeter City in January when it was clear we would not win promotion.

"We put a circular out at the end of the season saying he was available and there has been some calls."

He added: "But this is win-win for us. If Harry goes to a club higher up the league, then we’re delighted.

Should he stay or should he go: Harry Beautyman's future hangs in the balance but it is a win-win for United boss Paul Doswell SP75602

“If he stays, we’re delighted about that too, because he is a quality player who scores goals from midfield, and that does not come along too often.”

The new names coming to Gander Green Lane, Doswell believes, will add the versatility vital to a small squad.

Binns is a 31-year-old left winger who can play left back, while Nelson, 23, is a right back who can also fill in at centre half.

Doswell said: “Depending on Harry, these are our last two signings. The two new lads give me great versatility and cover.

“I now have 14 senior players, coaching staff who can step in and the three young lads on development contracts.

“The young lads will probably go out on loan at the start of the season to get match time because I think are up to the task.

"But we're looking good for an exciting season."

United's pre-season friendlies will include a third Premier League visitor as well as the showpieces against Arsenal and Chelsea - the third team will be announced next week.

Other confirmed friendlies include: Farnborough (July 10), AFC Wimbledon (July 20) and Cambridge United (July 27)
