Brentford boss Rosler wants more from his Bees despite a severe blunting of the Blades

Brentford manager Uwe Rosler says despite the 3-1 victory against League One rivals Sheffield United, his side can do better.

Summer signing Will Grigg struck twice in the second half after United’s Neil Harris headed equaliser cancelled out Adam Forshaw’s superb curling opener.

Grigg, however, went on to miss a spot kick late on as he stepped up to clinch his hat trick.

But rather than heaping praise on his side Rosler took a more measured and levelheaded approach, he said: “It is promising but the verdict is not there yet.

"I will be able to tell you in 10 games or so, but right now we are where we want to be, where we expect, no more.”

It was Brentford’s first league victory of the season after their 1-1 draw on the opening day away at Port Vale and Rosler was critical of the goals they’ve conceded.

He said: “The two goals we’ve conceded were avoidable, today and last week, but the main focus is positive.

"The way we stopped them playing, and the way we attacked them. Our transition play in attack was very good.

“But we will be better,” he said.

Rosler though, was happy his side came back from the summer without a hangover after their play-off heartbreak.

“I’ve said from the beginning that there is no problem. When I saw the players come back after the summer I knew we would be OK.

"It was very important that we managed to get the young players to sign contract and to bring in more quality players.

"It keeps everyone on their toes, that is the only way to come back from what happened.”
