Herne Hill Harriers senior women will have their work cut out to topple Belgrave Harriers at the top of Division One of the Ladies Surrey League.

After last weekend's efforts at Putney Vale, the Harriers remain second in the standings - a mammoth 192 points adrift of the leaders - going into the final meeting next  month.

Karen Ellison was the club's top performer on the day coming home in 16th spot, clocking 33 minutes, 17 seconds.

There is far more encouraging news in the girls U15 event, where Saskia Millard's top placing on Saturday - a time of 17:36 was 28 seconds faster than her nearest challenger - keeps the team on top of the overall standings with one meeting remaining.

Zoe Tompkins (sixth, 19:06), Alice Setyabule (ninth, 19:16) and Hannah Tompkins (12th, 19:54) completed the scoring.

Despite finishing the third meeting in second spot on the day, the Herne Hill Harriers U13s team lead the overall standings by 82 points.

Eloise O'Shaughnessy won on the day in 15:04, with Lily Newton (fifth, 16:11), Clarrissa Nicholls (seventh, 16:33) and Kayah Wilks (ninth, 16:38) completing the scoreline.
