Lisa Harris and Sophie Bates made it a Croydon Harriers one-two in the women’s race at the Streets Ahead Croydon half-marathon.
Harris proved to be a clear winner in the women’s category with a dominant run clocking 86 minutes 49 seconds in the second quickest time set by a female in the race’s history.
Clubmate Sophie Bates was a comfortable runner up, by a near three-minute margin, in 89:40 - it also eclipses her previous best by more three minutes.
In the men’s category, David Brown led the charge in 14th in the over 400-strong field, he clocked 82:52 with colleague Brendan Murphy one place behind.
Robert Rye (139th, 1:44.06), Norman Hemming (243rd, 1:57), Keith Brown (268th, 1:59.22) and Eric Campbell (393rd, 2:25.46) made up the rest of Croydon contingent.
At the World Masters Indoor championships in Budapest, three Harriers were in action for team GB.
Mandy Roweley-Jones enjoyed a seventh place finish in the W50 triple jump thanks to a 9.06m effort.
In the endurance events, Colin Oxlade was 15th in both the M55 cross-country race and in the 3,000m.
Linda Oxlade meanwhile was seventh in the W60 triple jump, 11th in the weight throw and 12th in the long jump.
