Richmond youngster Chad Miller is enjoying a sporting year with a silver lining on the track and on the golf course.
The Mall School, Twickenham, student singlehandedly fired his school to a second-place finish in the Richmond Borough gold competition at home course Fulwell Golf Club earlier this month.
The 14-year-old one man team, also collected the nearest the pin prize at the par three ninth hole, scored 43 stableford points - a new record in the competition - to collect the individual title to go with his team silver medal.
Miller's exploits come four months after he won a 60 metre sprint silver medal for Hercules Wimbledon at the South of England Indoor Athletics Championships in January.
