New Malden racing drive Tom Onslow-Cole hailed team-mate Paul White as the pair secured a maiden British GT Championship podium finish for Strata 21 last Sunday.

White crossed the line for a third place finish after Onslow-Cole had kept the team’s Aston Martin Vantage GT3 in fifth place for much of Sunday’s second one hour race at Snetterton.

Onslow-Cole had been first fastest in the warm-up earlier in the day, but Strata 21 could only finish fifth in the opening one hour race.

“We did it, our first podium in @BritishGT,” tweeted the 27-year-old.

“Awesome job by @paulwhitestrata and all the @strata_21 team.”

The result moves the two drivers up to 10th in the championship standings after six rounds.

Worcester Park’s Howard Fuller endured mixed fortunes on the undercard of the main races at Snetterton.

Fuller secured an eighth place finish in the first of two rounds of the VW Racing Cup, but was unable to break into the top 10 in the second race.
