Ex-Kingstonian boss Alan Dowson was delighted to help inspire Weston Green School students when they upgraded their sports facilitieslast week, writes Stuart Amos.
Former Liverpool defender Phil Babb, Sky Sports commentator Martin Tyler and Dowson – a specialist games teacher at the Thames Ditton School – officially opened the school’s new 3G pitch last Wednesday.
“The expertise of these high-class players and the new astro will help the children develop their skills and inspire them for many months to come,” said head teacher Mike Harrison.
Dowson, now manager at Hampton & Richmond Borough, added: “We are all very excited about using these great new facilities, to extend our on-site sports provision at the school.”
