Leatherhead boss Richard Brady had a rare moment in the life of a Premier League manager recently, and it is proving fruitful for the front two.

Tanners took all the points at Whitham Town on Saturday from a 3-2 win to 14th in the Ryman Premier Division.

It featured an Adam Green strike, but moreover, one more goal apiece for Vas Karagiannis and Kiernan Hughes-Mason, who now have 25 league goals between them.

Brady said: “Our game against Bury at home at the end of last month was postponed, but I had all the players there.

“So we could actually hold a good training session with everyone in attendance, no one was missing at work, etc.

“You don’t get that opportunity at this level very often, it was like running a full-time Premier League team.

“We worked on shapes and patterns, and the feedback from the lads was really positive.”

He added: “The front two benefited because we could work on cementing a few pointers, their shape and how they work together as a partnership.

“But they are also two very good players, with good ability and good feet.

“They have that belief that at any given moment they can put the ball in the back of the net.”

Tanners welcome Hampton & Richmond to Fetcham Grove this weekend with Brady still missing the suspended Richard Avery and injured Ryan Mahal.
