Duane “Hot Shot” Sinclair has predicted a glorious return to Croydon when he defends his Queensbury Boxing League title at Alexandra Palace on Saturday.

The 31-year-old faces fellow Londoner Dwayne Jones Grant on the Thunder in London event, and he is convinced he will come home still wearing his national light heavyweight belt.

Sinclair was last in action in November on British Eurosport when he successfully defended his title against Norfolk challenger David Payne.

He said: “I’m promising Dwayne Jones Grant a tough night’s work when we meet at Ally Pally.

“I don’t really know too much about him as I’ve only seen him box once before in the league back in October.

“But from what I did see he looks like a tidy boxer with a bit of speed so I’m going to need to be ready for him.”

He added: “Predictions wise, I’m always confident that this will be a victory for team hot shot and the rest of my team at the Juggernauts Gym.

“I want to give this guy a boxing lesson on the night and come back to Croydon with that belt.”
