Former Kingstonian striker Ryan Moss talks sea bass, folding shirts and classic football boots.

First goal: I cannot remember that, but I do remember – when I was about 11 – I was playing for Weymouth Tigers where I scored 80 goals in a season and from there I joined AFC Bournemouth. It was the first time that team had won the league. In our area there was one club that won everything every year and all their players were with Southampton, so that really proved a point.

Trophy: I was a specialist in the butterfly for Weymouth Swimming Club up to when I was 15 years old so it was probably for the 25m butterfly race.

Car: Audi A3. You had to have a car where we lived in Weymouth. I used my mum’s for a while, but my first car was a 1996 A3.

Date: My first girlfriend was a girl called Kim and it was probably either the cinema or bowling. There was nothing else to do in Weymouth.

Your Local Guardian:

Weymouth: Nothing to see here, says former Ks' striker Moss

You cooked for a woman: It would have been something healthy because I play a lot of football. But my signature dish for a while was to cook a whole sea bass. It was really easy and looked really flash and like I knew what I was doing.

Boots: Mitres. They were full leather and they were the boots I used to score my 80 goals (see above). Back in the day they were top of the range. I really liked them.

FA Cup: I’m a Cardiff City fan so they never really registered with me. The first one I remember would have been the one where Eric Cantona scored for Man Utd against Liverpool.

Job: My dad owned a school uniform business, so during the holidays I would be packing shirts and other clothes for him. It means my stuff at home is much tidier and better folded than my girlfriend’s, which is a bit of a worry. I am a bit ADHD like that.
